FueVolt ("we", "us", "our") is an Australian fuel price comparison and EV charging station finder. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use FueVolt.
Location Data: When you use "Use My Location" or GPS-based features, we access your device's location to find nearby fuel stations and EV chargers. This data is processed on your device and is not stored on our servers.
Favourites & Preferences: Saved fuel stations or EV chargers are stored locally on your device using localStorage. They are not transmitted to our servers.
Usage Data: We use Google Analytics to collect usage statistics such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and interactions. We do not knowingly collect information that directly identifies you through this data.
Advertising Data: We use Google advertising services, which may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and usage data to serve ads. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
FueVolt aggregates publicly available data from NSW Government FuelCheck, the QLD Fuel Pricing Direct API, Victoria's Fair Fuel Open Data API, WA FuelWatch, OpenStreetMap, Open Charge Map, Nominatim, and TomTom. Fuel prices are sourced directly from official government APIs where available; where reliable government price data is unavailable, FueVolt does not generate replacement prices.
We use Google Analytics and Google advertising services (subject to Google's Privacy Policy), OpenStreetMap/Nominatim and Open Charge Map (subject to their respective terms), TomTom for routing, geocoding and traffic data (subject to TomTom's Privacy Policy), and DiscoverCars for the affiliate rental-car link and banner on the Trip Planner page — their affiliate network receives a tracking request when the banner is displayed, in addition to when you click through (subject to DiscoverCars' Privacy Policy).
FueVolt does not require a user account and does not itself hold an account or profile for you. You can clear locally cached data by clearing FueVolt's site storage in your browser or device settings.
